As part of our Transition Campaign to increase local food growing, we run this scheme in partnership with the Town & Country Foundation. Similar schemes are already up and running in Totnes, Brighton and the Isle of Wight.
The idea is very simple - people with gardens they cannot manage, offer to share them with people who would like to grow food but have nowhere to grow. The Grower gets a free allotment, and the Owner gets a share of the tasty produce grown in their garden. The application forms can be downloaded below (please also view the Introductory letter which includes the address to return the form to).
Complete the appropriate form, post or e-mail it back to us and we will add you to our database. As soon as we find a suitable pairing, we will contact both parties and arrange a meeting. Once both sides have met and agreed terms, off you go!
Alternatively, call Town & Country Foundation on 01892 501702 and ask for an application form to be posted to you.
